How my journey began…
When I was growing up I was physically active from a young age, influenced by my parents who were involved in the fitness industry. I became a certified personal trainer in 2008 and have been working one on one with clients ever since. However, it was not until I met Coeli Marsh and was introduced to Baptiste Power Yoga that I found my true passion. After studying with her I was compelled to travel to Hawaii to study with Baron Baptiste in 2009. This was a transformative experience that opened up my world. I saw that my belief system, and my self-imposed limitations had been holding me back; I was playing small. I continued to explore yoga and tended to my inner world, and later completed and assisted another 200-hour yoga teacher training with Coeli Marsh.
I diversified my teaching by studying yoga for PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) with the Warriors at Ease programme at Kripalu in Massachusetts. Then shortly after I developed an interest in the healing practice of Reiki and energy work and became a Reiki Master. In 2019 I was a co-facilitator in my first Reiki Level 1 training with 20 students that I personally initiated in a powerful ceremony.
I also sharpened my instructional skills with Ana Forrest with an advanced vinyasa training in Ottawa. There we delved into many traditional Native American ceremonies and broke down advanced postures, sequencing, and assisting. Additionally I have recently practiced with Sadie Nardini and Magan Curry and attribute much of my teaching style to them.
I have co-facilitated several yoga retreats in Central America. My current focus is to instruct online to help students deepen their practice outside the studio.

You are stronger than you know, body and mind, and I want to help you discover that strength.

Stefanie Winters, in a nutshell, embodies the myriad of qualities that a yogi, whether beginning or experienced, wishes for in an impassioned yoga instructor. She has grown her expertise in an organic way which reflects her own personal growth but also her compassion and advocacy for her students. Her commitment to mindful presence is so contagious that within an hour of yoga with Stefanie I never fail to feel restored with abounding grace. Practicing with her has enabled me to merge yoga with my personal journey of mind and body balance. Stefanie’s rooted and ever-growing knowledge as well as her unique and personalized delivery of that information have consistently encouraged me to push myself, observe myself and love myself on and off my mat. My engagement and connection with yoga would not be so profound if it was not for the beauty and finesse of Stefanie Winters.
